BN6. Change of Name. You may change the name of your Business name registration, also referred to as Sole Proprietorship or partnership, at any time and for whatever purposes.

How to change the name of a Business Name Registration in Kenya.

1. Search and reservation of the proposed name. - A new business name search is conducted. If approved, it is reserved for 30 days.
2. Application for change of Particulars. - The Business name needs to be Linked to an eCitizen Account. On the name link, an application for change of particulars in done.
   
3. Form BN4 is filled and the proposed reserved name attached thereto.
   
4. The registrar shall Change the name of the Business and issue a Certificate of Change of Name.
   

A Change of Business Name takes take an average of 5 days to process.
