As from the 1st of March 2024 The Kenyan govenment has reviews the application and issuance fees for various immigration permits and prpocesses in Kenya.

The reiews and adjustments, detailed in a Gazette Notice, aim to streamline the immigration process while ensuring that the fees are reflective of the services provided. Below is a summary of some of the key revisions

Updates to Kenya Immigration permit, passes and VISA Fees.

1. Work Permit Processing Fees:

• Current Fees: Kes. 10,000
• Proposed New Fees: Kes. 20,000

2. Employment (Class D) Permit:

• Current Fees: Kes 200,000 per year
• Proposed New Fees: Kes. 500,000 per year

3. Investors Permit (Class G):

• Current Fees: Kes. 100,000 per year
• Proposed New Fees: Kes. 250,000 per year

4. Special Pass Application:

• Current Fees: Kes. 15,000 per month
• Proposed New Fees: $200 per month

5. Dependant’s Pass:

• For Spouse and Children of a Kenyan Citizen:
  • Current Fees: Kes 5,000
  • Proposed New Fees: Kes. 20,000
• For Work Permit and Permanent Resident Holders:
  • Current Fees: Kes. 5,000
  • Proposed New Fees: Kes. 10,000

6. Student’s Pass:

• Current Fees: Kes. 5,000
• Proposed New Fees: $100

7. Visitors Pass Extension:

• Current Fees: Free
• Proposed New Fees: $50

8. Alien ID Cards (Foreign National Certificate):

• Current Fees: Kes. 1,000 per year
• Proposed New Fees: Kes. 5,000 per year

9. Replacement of Alien ID:

• Current Fees: Free
• Proposed New Fees: Kes. 2000
